So from my understanding you want to save while you are in the middle of a mission just incase your pc hangs ? if so that makes a little sense to me but most games will save that progress but restart your progress of the mission. it will actually be better with auto save. it also isn't going to fix your issue if your PC hangs.
you will lose more progress manual saving if you forget. It auto saves everytime you do something. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "perfection play" and currently dont see how the auto save feature affects that. Maybe the experts dont want it.but I dont get much time either, I do have other matters to attend. I mean you practically start mission with a 20rd mag completely nerfed gun with just irons only, and even the sniper rifle M40A5 starts with a 4x ACOG.but that you do have to scourge. There are too many sidemissions and sidemission dont save, there are too many unlock parts to scourge for, sometimes my PC just hangs up and I have to start over a bit. I need it so I can learn as I play.I dont have all the time for a perfection play.I'll do that after finishing the whole campaign. I'm guessing so you can fudge your statistics to make it look like you have skill? Like I said, just a guess.
